Hi,

Please check out my game recently released (and just updated) on itunes:

http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/color-and-bubbles/id482492127?ls=1&mt=8

Feedback much appreciated.

It uses Cocos2D and Box2D.

The idea of the game is that you fire bullets of color at moving bubbles, matching the bullet color to the bubble color, and as you do so the scene in the background is painted with color. Fully color the scene to complete the level.

There are 3 difficultly modes and an infinite number of levels, with levels, in general, getting progressively harder.

If you hit the the wrong bubble color, the bubble shrinks on the next level. Too many mistakes means your bubble bursts, and it’s game over.

You can record how far you get in Game Center.

Please PM me if you would like a promo code.

Thanks for the freebie! I downloaded it and played with it a little. I like to jump right into new games without reading anything (not because I’ m mean but because I assume, most players do the same :-) Without reading any instructions, it was a little unclear to me how I could win a level. I figured out that colors need to match (because if they don’t match, the bubble doesn’t absorb the bullet and the bullet just sticks to the side of the bubble).

But I didn’t get any direct feedback on how much of a level I had solved already. It wasn’t clear to me that I had to color all of the background. I only figured out that I had to color all parts of the level until I read your description here. Maybe you could add a small progress bar somewhere that fills up everytime I do something right?

And I really like the style of your in-game artwork: it looks fun, is different every time, the cat is cute. But I don’t think you app icon reflects the cheerfulness of your app? It looks a bit dark and gloomy?! Unfortunately I’m not a designer so I can’t tell you how to do it better :-)

Maybe this will help though: Vicky Wenderlich has just released a tutorial on how to make app icons http://www.vickiwenderlich.com/2012/02/5-tips-for-making-a-game-app-icon/

Hi, thanks for the feedback.

How much of the level is ‘solved’ is shown at the top in terms of a number that you have to get over 1000. I get that thats not the best way to do it (and 1000 is a bit of a random number) and filling up the box with colour where the number is might be a better idea. I will work on a new icon at some point.

Thanks once again.
