I’ve managed to get BulletML and cocos2d to work together.

Most of the bulletml files work, except for when bullets need to spawn other bullets.

Does anyone have any experience with this, perhaps it’s a callback function that needs to be inside of bullet?

Here’s an example of what I have working.

Thanks riq, I’m hoping to put the source on github once I figure out the bullets, spawning other bullets part.

thats awesome, nearly had this working myself, was trying to get a C++ implementation working wrapped in Cocos2D but at the time didn’t know enough of each language to achieve it, was going to take it on again in a month or so, but looks like you have done the hard work ;) well done, you just need to get CannonML working now :P

@onedayitwillmake Nice work! We’ve been looking into bulletML and CannonML (<- just nuts) ourselves, great to see a version running :)

Never head of CannonML – just googled it – looks nuts! Definitely gonna check that out.

In the interest of the cocos community, and putting our brains together – let’s try to see if we can figure it out together, we’ll start with BulletML first

Here is my repository for what I currently have working – can read parse bulletml files, but bullets which spawn other bullets do not work

Feel free to fork, and modify and send pull request

defo get looking at this, next week is out as i have the same deadline as chris :) but after that i am going to spend some time on this, its a tough one because there is a massive lack of documentation behind the BulletML and even less for CannonML :S once they are working though be awesome to make a full featured editor to create the XML for people to use :D

This CannonML library looks pretty interesting, I haven’t tried to build it yet – but it looks well made from what I can tell.

I’ve merged Rabbitrun84′s fix for a rendering issue. Here’s a screenshot of what his change enabled:
