   I'm willing to bet that everyone here considers installing the Provisioning Profile a "Right of Passage"?

   I USED to think programming in objective-C was hard. It has been officially eclipsed by this god-awful provisioning routine.

   Did the CSR

   I have gone through the process, even though Apple's "assistant" doesnt seem to want to work today.

   I have downloaded my provisioning profile and placed it in ~/Library/MobileDevice/Provisioning Profiles

   Ive got both a pub and pri dev key and an Apple World Wide certficate in my keychain

   But...

   The organizer says "A valid signing identity matching this profile could not be found in your keychain"

   and in Xcode, under my target's info, there are no Code Signing Identities to chooose from.

   I'm way out of my element here and I've been struggling with this for hours.

   Hmm try dragging the provisioning profile into xCode (on the icon and drop) or into iTunes, it should install it on the device.
   OR go to the organizer and add the provision profile manually... this should let you chose from code signing identity or you just might've created a no good provision profile...
   Update here and tell me if it worked for ya...

   I got it!

   The first Apple certificate I got was something temporary.

   I had to dig deeper to find the iphone.developer one

   I got it installed and got this program test Ive been whining about for 2 days installed and running!

   and....

   people will be interested to know, after loading the background, on the device it runs at 60 FPS. It does however, drop to 30 FPS as soon as you touch the background and do that liquid transition.

   just letting you know. Thanks to everyone that has been helping me. Now I have to go celebrate at least getting this far!

   what I don't get is why its not releasing or deallocating or whatever. Once the effect is finished, shouldnt the FPS go back up to what it was previously?

   Does this also happen with the included demo version? If not, perhaps your not releasing it properly? I haven't used the effects myself, just tried the demo of some of them a while back, so can't help on that front I'm afraid.
