crmagicxxx, I sent an email to "devteam@4iphone4.me"
Yes, I do complain - but heres the thing about the 1st Gen iPod Touch. Its the same processor and speed as the iPhone (except the 3gs). Its slower - but I dont know by how much - Id love to see speed tests. The 1st Gen iPod Touch runs games like Doom and Star Wars and Prey and Assasins Creed and iDracula and Circuit.Strike.One and lots of driving games, etc... games that are throwing a ton of polygons around, physics, collision detection, etc... So when I see somebody's breakout game or cave flyer game lock out the 1st Gen iPod Touch, and the dev worries that it will run too slowly - either theyre doing something wrong or worrying needlessly. That said, I dont know how much of the audience still has the 1st Gen iPod Touch, 10%? Still why leave an extra 10% on the table.
Incidently jptsetung locked out the 1st Gen iPod Touch for his first version of Moonlights - he sent me a copy, I told him it worked fine, and he changed the system requirements *and* look at the terrific success of Moonlights. Coincidence? Well yes probably, still it added something to the sales numbers!
