   Hi there,

   just a short question (and maybe my last one for this app):

   I have a music file which is played as looped background music. This works but there's a little delay between end and restart of the sound file. If I play it looped in iTunes I don't hear this little interruption.

   Is there any way to solve this issue?

   The audio file is fine! It works in all programs I tested except for CocosDenshion.

   Having the same problem (gaps in looping BGM), searched the forum for a solution and found this thread. Couldn't get the program Steve recommends to work... seems buggy and requires an external MP3 encoder. My solution is to load your .wav or .mp3 into GarageBand, then export from GarageBand. Works a treat.

   @butr0s - that link was to explain why there is a problem with looping mp3 files. I recommend using .aac files as they loop better and use less resources to decode on iOS.

   Start with an uncompressed aac format, as Steve suggested, for the original recording. Then try compressing to mp3 using LAME in audacity. You could also try MPEG-4 audio (.m4a), I have had good results with that (a good combo of sound quality and small file size).
