I have and still am open to considering open sourcing the project. My only concern are restraints on time for planning and coordination. Currently I work the project in pockets of free time. Previous open source efforts I've been involved with can sometimes absorb a good amount of time to reach success. I'd be open to suggestions though since my open source efforts have been limited. PM?
Did you have any samples of the chipmunk in action for soft bodies? Mines ended up rendering pretty well but when you think about it there is a good amount of overhead in creating lots of slide / distance joints along with circle bodies.
I was just planning on adding support for jellyphysics as an available framework within the IDE since it's full fledged soft body. Good amount of work probably to integrate but it works very similarly to box2d from what I can tell.
