I'm putting together a game that has various tasks to complete, each of which get checked off marking your progress. It's a universal app, so I was thinking that if you complete a task on your iPad it should show up as completed when you load the game on your iPhone. Kind of like the Kindle app sync's the last place you read between the two. Does anyone have an ideas on how to achieve this? I saw that Bump has an API that allows sharing, but you have both devices loaded and "bump" them to transfer info. I looked at Game Kit and the new Game Center, but neither seemed a direct fit. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Sync Data Between Multiple Devices

You'll need your own server which means a bunch of extra management (& costs), if you were to "roll your own" solution. I'd check into existing social gaming add-ons. I know Warpgate uses Plus+ and they offer syncing between devices, provided you use the same Plus+ account. I would play for awhile on my iPad then manually sync with Plus+, then the first thing I'd do when I launched the game on my iPod was to sync (manually) to pull down my saved game.
Good luck and keep us posted.
