Hello all.
I've modified some sprites in photoshop and managed to get a rather good quality by color indexing the picture, reducing the bpp at 8. (Is that RGBA2222?)
The problem is that if I try to load 4 of these pictures (they are 1024*1024) as RGBA4444 (This means 16 BPP right?) I get 11 MB of memory used, if I load them as RGBA 8888 I get 19 MB of memory used.
Can I load them at a lower bpp rate? with other kCCTexture2DPixelFormats?
