   Hi,

   I know there's an API freeze on the horizon, so ..
   I'm not sure if this has come up before, and it's such a minuscule thing, but I thought I would put it out there to see what you all (esp. Riq) think of this. Would renaming some of the classes to 'group' them together make sense? So all transitions could be prefaced with CCTransition .. all actions with CCAction, and such.

   i.e. CCFadeTransition to CCTransitionFade, CCEaseAction to CCActionEase, CCRotateTo to CCActionRotateTo, etc.

   I'm just thinking that when (I'm lazy and) I'm coding, pulling up the autocomplete for a CCAction, I could pick and choose right there from the pulldown or autocomplete with all of my choices available for actions, instead of looking back through the API.

   Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the framework, and wow, it's made things possible for me that I could have dreamed of doing on my own, but I just wanted to see if there was any merit to what I was thinking.

   Thoughts?

   I like the idea and personally agree with it. I think it would add transparency to the framework and make it more discoverable - both very desirable for use, maintenance and extension in my opinion.

   I really wish that Objective-C had proper enumerations, so we could actually have things like CCTransitionStyle.FADE, CCActionType.ROTATE_TO or the like.

   I think the final decision would be up to Riq though.

   I somehow like the idea to, should add some transparency

   But just like Riq, I'm not sure about actions. They're used very very often and long names is the last thing I like in the code

   However, there could be cocos2d macros like:

   CC_ACTION_ROTATE CCRotateTo
   CC_ACTION_FADE_TO CCFadeTo

   And so on

   I definitely agree with renaming them, having organized (grouped) names like that would make things a lot simpler, especially with the autocomplete. :)

   Update on actions:

   I'll rename only the actions that has the "Action" suffix. The rest of the actions won't have the "Action" prefix.

   eg:
   CCInstantAction -> CCActionInstant: renamed since it uses the Action suffix
   CCScaleTo -> unchanged since it is not using the Action suffix

   Another proposal. Rename CCPropertyAction to CCActionTween.

   What do you think about it ?

    @riq I am all for renaming CCPropertyAction.

    I think that the same thing should be done that was done when adding the CC prefix, with the macro to enable / disable compatibility.

    CCQuadParticleSystem -> CCParticleSystemQuad
    CCPointParticleSystem -> CCParticleSystemPoint

    Do you have any idea what keys are used for CCActionTween?

    I don't know what keys are used for CCActionTween.

    @genobear: Try tests/ActionsTests.m. It shows how to use it with a few examples.
