I picked up mine this morning, I'm really happy with it. So much quicker than my old 3G.
Just wondering who else has bought one?

congratz!
Hey, May I ask you a favor ?
Could you test "bug866" in your iPhone4 ? :-)
1)
$ git clone git@github.com:cocos2d/cocos2d-iphone.git develop
2) open cocos2d Xcode project
3) select target "bug886"
4) build & run
You should see 2 images. Both images should be the same.
If you don't see the left image, or if the left image is too dark, then iPhone4 is affected by bug886 :-(
Thanks!
Sure thing riq, im just at work but if no one beats me to it i will check this when i get home.
How is the call performance and screen? Many reports of dropped calls if you hold it in a specific way or touch the metal band in a specific way. Also many reports of yellow tint issues, as preciously seen in the 27" iMac release.
If you hold the iPhone 4 in your left hand with the left corner of the phone cupped in your palm, does it drop calls?
In other news, I'll be getting one later this year. Can't exactly afford it yet.
@robodude666 I don't have any of the yellowing that was reported (I tested with one of those flashlight apps), but I do have the reception issue. Engadget is currently reporting that the yellowing goes away after some use. They say that some solvent didn't have time to dry before shipping and the heat from use helps dry it.
I've confirmed that if I hold the phone in my left hand so that my palm covers the entire bottom left side, I lose most, if not all, of my signal. I've seen anything from dropped calls to "No Service". If I hold the phone in my right hand, I see no decrease in signal strength, even though my palm is covering the bottom right corner of the phone. I'm not sure why this makes a difference since the entire bottom of the phone is one of the antennas. My only guess is that the antennae on the right side is different from the left side antennae and does not interfere with the WiFi/Bluetooth/GPS antennae on the bottom. Lastly, if I hold the phone in my right hand, but cover the bottom left corner with just my fingers, I'll lose a few bars, but it does not appear to affect the signal strength quite as much as if I used my palm. I was planning on getting a bumper anyway and according to reports, this helps the situation.
@riq I would test the bug that riq requested, but I'm currently not a paid developer so I'm unable to test on any devices. However, if someone is willing to do all of the compiling and send me the app and cert, I can test things that way. I should be around for at least a few hours from now if anyone is willing to do this.
I can't reproduce the antenna issue. How long do you hold it for? I tried so many ways. No yellow for me.
Got mine, been running great, been faceTiming all day!!
I cant reproduce the antenna issue, nor have any yellowing
Well then, congrats :). It seems these issues only affect select devices, according to several reports. Hopefully Apple irons it out for the White iPhone 4 release in mid-july.
@jd and @CraigVella Generally, I hold it for about half a min in my left hand before I lose most/all of the signal. This video shows exactly what I've been seeing:

It's not mine. I could make one myself, but I'll have to wait till my camera battery recharges (haven't used it in months).
If neither of you guys are having this problem, count yourselves lucky. :)
its weird im doing exactly what's in the video, and i have full bars.
You would think apple would test something as simple as that, I mean come on apple, it's common sense to test that!
I'm assuming apple didn't make a few thousand prototypes. I'd also guess that the prototypes that they made might of been more monitored or human controlled as they were making small batches. Now that they're mass producing these units something in the manufacturing process ended up causing this issue. I mean... the white iPhone 4s are being delayed half a month because of an issue in their manufacturing process.
Apple'll fix this, don't worry :).
@riq I tested bug866 on my iPhone 4 and I don't see the image on the left.
Yep, just done the test my self, exact same result.
