Sorry for all of the questions but I am trying to figure out how to create a menu page. Also I'm trying to make a pause page for when i press the pause button. I've been trying to piece together code from threads on here and some random examples but I can't get the code right. So if someone could point me in the right direction...

If you want to learn about menus please study the "MenuTest" sample included with cocos2d. If you're planning on creating a dedicated "page" or "scene" when you pause the game or open the menu please see the "TransitionsTest" sample included with cocos2d.
Also, for anything else you might need, it is good to study the samples which is a better source for working examples than the forums.
