I feel for you...it's turning into an environment similar to Touch Arcade. Previously people would review and provide some constructive feedback.

It's almost like we need to create a group of peers who will actively participate with testing and feedback where codes are distributed in a round robin fashion.

well, whenever I take a code, I say which one I take and then if I have feedback I will post it on the thread. I leave a star/review on iTunes as a rule whenever I take a code too.

I have complained before about this very thing, but I don't have a real solution ... perhaps those who announce their games here should mention they have some codes to give away, then hand them out to people publicly, so everyone knows who is getting a code and who is then not giving feedback - then you can avoid trolls (who are just here for codes) and newbs (who have not contributed anything at all) from getting them at all ...

thats my plan when I get to that point :)

I would say don't post codes openly in forums at all.

Better ask who wants and then PM that person, also asking for nice review.

I take codes and Im pretty good about reviewing - however if the game wasnt good then I just dont review it bc I can see how much work went into the game. What do you guys think, is a bad review better than no review?

[edit] I should note that I didnt take a code for PPL bc I dont like tower defense games. But the characters look really colorful and cute and terrific.

I do the same codemattic. I usually tell the developer any issues I had with the game so they can improve it.

I think it's because most of the people doens't have the forum account. They just took the code and then ran away.

@codematic: me too, if I have feedback that is negative, I will usually PM that to the guy on this forum (such as if it crashes, etc.) and then not leave a public review until I have some nice things to say.

Wow, looks really cool. Nice Work. I haven't played it but if you were looking to add something to the game, you may consider putting health bars over the enemies - at least the bosses.

@jd: Thanks. Actually, we did put the hp bar over the enemies. You can see there is a bar in the bottom of the creeps.

Thanks for the code, I tried it out and found the graphics and animation to be great. I think I had mentioned in another post that TD games must not be my strength cause I really get my rear handed to me in the latter part of L3. Anyhow, overall I had no problems with the controls and functions as I tried to exercise them and it ran great on my 3G w/ 3.1.3.

One thing though is that maybe you might consider adding visual feedback for when buttons are pushed such as selecting/exiting a menu item. Also, maybe even an exit out of the help menu rather than having to flip through the screens to the end as well. Other than that looks good. I'll follow-up w/ something in iTunes as well.
