   Hi having a strange problem just even trying to start out.

   I downloaded cocos2d-iphone-0.99.0 installed using Terminal and started up xcode but when I went into new project I could not see cocos2d. I even tried installing it again and got the msg "template alredy installed" from terminal (Please see screenshots)

   I can't really figure out what is happening or why it won't start up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

   Before you run the template_install script, you should copy the cocos2d directory so it is a subdirectory under /Library. Then CD into it and run the template_install script from there. (according to your 1st snapshot you were running the script from the downloads directory).

   However, you may FIRST want to remove the old templates as I don't think they got installed properly. For removing an old version of Cocos2d (and/or it's templates) take a look at this post: http://www.cocos2d-iphone.org/forum/topic/4320 (Your template directory is shown in the first snapshot you posted...Note: Make sure to only delete the cocos2d/box2d/chipmunk templates).
