The "pause" button is hilarious. Terrific game all around, congratulations to you and the team!

Picked up the game yesterday, congrats on making a great game.

:")
Congrats to @j2sighte, 243 ! Did you get the golden sausages or watch them float by like Mike ;)
The only downside at the moment is it appears we were part of a large batch of updates which meant we never really showed in latest releases (unless you were prepared to go back a long way). On the plus side people seem to like it, yay!

Got my first golden sausage!
I would like to make a suggestion though. I would like it if it only posted my new highscore rather than every score. I just turned off notifications because I play the game too much and it can annoy people.

Like it? People love it. I almost got my first golden sausage but got killed as I went to get it.
Did you make the "red sauce" appear in the death scene to avoid a higher age rating for "blood and gore"? Just wondering, I thought that was clever.
I had the same problem with the Lite version of my game which was released on 3/11 but didn't show up until late 3/12 on the new release list...burried on the 2nd or 3rd page. Kind of a bummer, but I guess like everyone says, you can't rely on the new release list for much of anything these days.

Just been back to visit the US app store. Another BIG Thank you to everyone who has posted a great review!!!

@abitofcode I get all the golden sausages as I can see. I get 2

After playing more (and landing second place in normal mode, with 202), I must say it really shows that you spent a lot of time tuning the timing/gameplay.
Based on the number of players in the leaderboards, I'd say congrats are in order :)
One little thing, this might be just a developer thing, but I can actually see the "stitch" lines in your background. I've had the same problem with cocos2d, which is probably why I notice it, I mean, it's very slight. I don't think most would notice it, and I didn't even see it until playing for a while. But I wonder how to remove that completely?

Congratulation! I can definitely tell that you've made a fortune in the past few days from the leader boards! I like the game! You almost have more scores than project 72 which has been out for about a month and was a huge hit

P.S. in Vietnam your app is #9

Wahey! We've made it onto the front page of Mrbaconpants.com (article at http://www.mrbaconpants.com/super-turbo-action-pig-making-super-bacon/ ). Talk about a lucky landing in a niche market!
Great review as well! For all your bacon and beer needs check out mrbaconpants.com

@abitofcode, one enhancement request: it would be nice if we could hide scoring, at least most of the time between running for a new sausage, why? During the play I keep looking to the current score, kinda de-concentrating moments I guess, thus if I could have an option to "hide" scoring during the play would be awesome - scores could be displayed only e.g. ten points before reaching the next sausage, kinda reminder.

We have a HERO - STAPig - http://en.tackfilm.se/?id=1268731001919RA72

@abitofcode hehe, I might try that :)
Congrats on the new and noteworthy! ... my prediction about Doodle killer is now one step closer.
Not sure why I'm so excited about ... hehe
I need a proof what mass would go for was not a mistake, I guess.Posted 1 year ago # -
I saw STAP on the New and Noteworthy and knew I had to check it out.
Holy cow (pig?). I don't know how you guys did this, but the animation is sublime, and I laugh out loud every single time I die.
Congratulations, and I doubt your animator will ever need help finding work again. What an excellent game.

@abitofcode, I wanted to follow-up to let you know I didn't get a chance to install it on a 2G to test it out, but tried it on my 3G. As everyone's said, excellent game and I followed up w/ an online review. G/L with sales.

@AntonG I think Zombie smash is gonna be the doodle killer!
@asinesio Thank you very much, the animation is all down to Mike of fullyillustrated.com fame, he did a beautiful job on the sprite maps, I'm hoping when I get some time I can give him a little more freedom to get some more animations in.
@Tim no problem, we did have it tested on a 1st gen iphone where it played ok but the explosion was a bit choppy so I cut down on particles for that part if it detected an early device.
There's a fairly healthy percentage of cocos2d games in the US charts at the moment!

@abitofcode yup - wrong timing I guess, but I wouldn't be sad getting #2 either :)
Both games are excellent!

Bought it last night & played for quite a while (along with Zombie Smash!). Really nice take on the copter style game. I'm not very good at it yet, but its enjoyable seeing the pig get splatted, so not too sad ;) Congrats on the feature! Well deserved.

@abitofcode I posted similar to toucharcade, where Mike seems to be more tolerant about the idea of hiding scores :)
... another idea, when looking my kids ( 10/11y ) - the game seems to be a little bit too hard for them, so I'm thinking how the game could become more die-hard-and-fast friendly - what about "scratch" mode, where you won't immediately be splashed when touching the obstacle, rather the pig would only get a new scratch, true if he wouldn't directly hit it ( direct hit == touch with obstacle ( except rocket = die hard ) more then n-frames for example ). And at the top you would have "scratch meter" or something, if too many scratches -> pig == sausage ....

Speaking of scratches: the Cocos2D framework is not very explicit about it, but it's actually quite easy to modify textures on the fly to generate scratches, dirt, and such. I've been playing with that in the past and would be happy to share what I know if you are interested.

No, this was for a different game that didn't quite make it yet and sitting on the shelf for the time being.
I'll put it on my TO-BLOG-ABOUT list.Posted 1 year ago # -
@pfg2009 I'd definitely be interested, it'll fit nicely with an idea we've got for the STAPig sequel. Already keeping an eye on http://doodleblast.blogspot.com/ :)
Noitced the new orange icon on the US Store, has it made a difference?Posted 1 year ago # -
Not really. I've updated it in response to friends looking right at it and saying "where is it? i don't see it...". But however I cut it, the icon doesn't stand a chance when it's next to a picture of a pig with rockets strapped to it :)
