Hi everyone,

My iPhone app has just been released into the app store, almost a second too late :) It's called Fireworks Fun!

Fireworks Fun is a fast-paced, addictive new game where you tap on fireworks to make them explode. Tap the right ones before the time runs out. More fireworks are fired as the levels increase, but watch out for the bombs! Rack up points with special power-ups and show off your best score on our global High Scores page!

Our Tap-a-Show mode lets you enjoy the explosions without a timer. Tap and drag as much as you want to create your own fireworks show.

A perfect way to celebrate July 4th (Independence Day), New Years, any other holiday, or if you just love fireworks!

Ok, I played with it for a couple of minutes, and like it. One thing I would suggest is that you make the detection boxes for each firework just a little bit larger. It is hard enough keeping up with all the fireworks without having to tap each one multiple times because you are just a *little* bit off.

Other than that, it's simple but good. A fun, twitchy game, that will keep my n...n...nervous twitch honed to perfection.

I think we could help each other and buy tiher devs apps (I sure do).

Very good game.

Is there a way to go back to main menu or pause during the game? You could also vary scoring according to how close to apogee a firework is exploded.

It is not very intuitive at first how the "store sequence" mode works at first.

Jonathan: We got a lot of complaints about that. The bounding box originally was even smaller :P Right now we have it so its at an acceptable size for most people. We will make it bigger if a lot of people do still find it annoying

ob1: I would definitely buy other apps, but with negative revenue (everything including game resources paid out of my pocket..) at the moment, I'm a little shy on that. Will definitely do so when I can at least get my developer's license back..

The pause/menu button during the game was something I contemplated about, but wasn't sure if I should do so. Mmm and I like the idea of the varying score, that would definitely make it more fun.

I also know about the "store sequence" problem. More than half of our testers had trouble understanding it until they play around with it more. Will definitely include a tutorial in the next update. You can also expect to do more stuff with the "Tap-a-show" in the next update.

I meant that if we all buy each other's game we should come out even (minus Apple's take) and it helps in the ratings.

It's just my personal "philosophy" that it's wrong to use promo code from fellow devs.

I started thinking like that when one of my dev friends who I was pestering for a promo code told me : "Just buy the damn game already and I will give you your 0.99$ back. I need the codes for review sites and I also need to increase my number of sales".

So yeah, now I feel that for 0.99$ I can do the effort and, at the beginning, each sale counts.

I also noticed that often when devs put codes on open forums, they get used by leechers, not regular members ( I am not meaning you jonathan0382 of course).

ob1 - I guess I can kind of understand the importance of the promo codes from your friend's standpoint. But frankly I think if the devs/users who used the promo code is willing to leave a detailed review, I'm happy. A few extra sales is not something of value to me. Knowing the users enjoyed the game and is willing to take the time to write a review or help me spread the word is much more valuable to me. Or if they didn't like the game or an aspect of the game, telling me which areas I can improve on is good as well.

One of my promo code users left a really detailed feedback to me and I was really happy reading it. He/she not only told me which areas they enjoyed, but which areas I could improve on.

But of course, when they leave a crappy review like "Not much to it" as the opening line and end it with "Not bad for your 99 cents", I am pissed. This was one of the latest reviews I got and it was from a promo code user. Now, why the hell would you start off with a crappy line like that and end it with something completely different?

Anyhow, I don't care about a few extra sales I can get from friends, but if I can get a greater recognition of my game, I am happy. Not to mention that it would probably improve my sales as well.

One of the best feedback I got from a user was how he/she liked it more than Rolando 2 :)

"By the way I got Rolando 2 last night and got Fireworks Fun this morning and I've played Fireworks Fun for a long time by now and it's great! I almost regret getting Rolando 2 because I've played like one level of it but I've put in a solid hour or so on Fireworks Fun!"

When I read that, I shed some tears of joy, lol. Now only if that was in his/her review in the app store :P
