What happened with repeat in scheduler?

Just downloaded latest r1753 and there is no more schedule:interval:repeat: method in CCNode. I am following all trunk changes but missed that one...

Edit: OK just saw Riq's post http://www.cocos2d-iphone.org/forum/topic/4145#post-24854 and he explained it...

Yes it was removed, but just curious why? I have a few places where I was using repeat:1 so I can call a function one time after a few seconds delay without having to "unschedule" it. I really liked that feature, wondering why it was rolled back?
