Thank you very much Apple!
I'd be interested in knowing how the staff favorites affects your traffic, percentage increase rather than direct figures would be enough.
lol, I'm guessing the selecting a wine book comes in useful after reading the lovely bones.
Yup, of course! I'll post back with some basic stats in a few days or so.
We did see a small boost in the US yesterday, not sure when the feature went live, but I was wondering why, until we saw this :)
We're obviously hoping this will boost sales a decent amount, but won't get our hopes up too much, as this only shows on iTunes, and not handsets, where most purchases apparently occur. Still, a great place to be, and a welcome boost in morale to keep myself & Matt working hard on the next updates :)
Hi PhilM !
I took MLR3J3WWYJEY and played your game. This is my comment about it.
I like your game graphic style and concept, it looks like professional and really well designed.
The game concept is funny too and i think you have to add more mini game (I'm sure you've already planned it). I say that because I played 10 minutes to the game and after I was asking myself what to do with this tinny little "monster" :)
I'm not saying that you're game is not good because I love the concept and the design and because I can't do such a great game but some user might think that the game is short. That's the only problem I can tell about your game.
I found a bug but I can't reproduce it now, I launched the echo game some monster stayed at the left of the world. I was playing with two monster and two were invisible.
Continue to add feature to your game, it's a great game and can attract a lot of people i think.
Please excuse my english if it's a little bit wrong.
If you have any question about my feeling of the game I'll be glad to answer any of them.
Hey Neantis, thanks for the honest feedback & bug report!
We do seem to get some sporadic glitches with the physics, which cause the Saplings to very occasionally not do what their supposed to. I'm working on tracking that down, although as you mention, it can be hard to reproduce.
We've decided to delay the next update slightly to revamp both mini games, to make them more challenging and enjoyable. We just agreed today on what those changes should be, and will be working on that this weekend.
The following few updates will add ALOT of new content, Matts already drawn up & animated most of it, and we're prototyping some of the ideas now. Looks like over the next 3 updates we'll be adding more content than is already in their now!
After we've bulked out the content considerably, we'll be adding some deeper game play elements, and have quite a few ideas on how to go about that.
There's a lot more planned to add in, but thats our main focus for the next couple of months. Plenty to keep us busy!
Thanks again Neantis for taking the time to post back, its really appreciated!
On a side note, thanks to the Apple feature, we're now hovering around the 65 position in the kids games section in the US, so it certainly helps to be showcased, even if its just on the desktop App Store. Will post back more details in another few days...
Wow nice job PhilM! I'd say with that extra exposure and those updates you're planning, you're on your way to the top!
Thx ;) I hope so! If not, its still a fun experience non the less. I'll be much more confident of that possibility in a few months time, once these updates are done & out the door!
As a little experiment, we've decided to put Forest Folk on sale for a limited time to see if it'll give us much more of a boost in the charts. We've stayed at that 65 US kids chart position for the last few days. So we're now looking to see what a price drop and icon change might do.
