   Yes. See the "cocosLive demo" that comes with cocos2d. It uses rankings and it displays the scores by country / world / device.

   i think you misunderstood the question here, riq! i think the question is:

   is it possible to retrieve the rank for COUNTRY?

   because as i see it, i can only request rank for world, right?

   since dev on cocoslive seems to have come to a stop: are there any future plans for cocoslive at all, or do you see the major social gaming networks as the future in this area?

   i think it is a very nice service for most cases. the big social gaming platforms are a major overhead for most (casual) users..

   After cocos2d v1.0 is released I'll add small features and bug fixes.
   But as I mentioned in previos posts. If you want a certain feature, and your send me the patch for that feature, I'll commit it to the SVN

   @riq:
   if i use requestScore i can use "kQueryFlagByCountry" to request scores for my current country only.
   however, i can't do the same when using requestRankForScore, meaning that ranks will always be based on the global leaderboard.
   would be nice to be able to do this, because competition is more interesting the more local it gets...

   i looked into the code already twice but i am totally unfamiliar with python and google appengine, especially the ranker is really a mystery for me at the moment. maybe you can point me to the place where this feature would have to be implemented...but i would also need to know how to set up a dev environment for this etc...

   anyway, good to hear there are still future plans for cocos live!
