Finally, I've started the programming guide.
It is still almost empty, but during the following days/weeks/months I will continue to add more information to it.
For the moment you will find a HelloWorld example:

That's a good start, Riq. I think that making this will draw in more users, since I've seen people hesitant to start using cocos2d because the documentation was too difficult to understand (reading an API reference is a tough way to begin).
When I have time after I get back home next week, I may start a series of tutorials on how to use Chipmunks and Cocos2d together...
It was definitely not easy trying to understand on first glance as to how the two can work together.

Documentation would help a lot. I was a bit disappointed to start learning Cocos2d for iPhone because it looked so promising and had so little documentation. The reading offers enough help to get started but I really want to use Chipmunks and have no idea where to go with it. Also I want to do things the right way and not just some random way that seems to work as I struggle through.
I'm starting with an app I hope will be pretty simple.. sprites are displayed and I want them to seem to float loosely around their origin but be responsive to being dragged with a finger or shook but slowly return to their original place.

mogmios, you may want to consider buying the source code to Sapus Tongue, which shows how to create a complete game with cocos and chipmunk physics, a global high score list with cocos live, and was written by the creator of coco2d-iphone riq:
