How to pause music and play different track then switch to resume the original?

Hi guys,

I have a question about playing 2 background musics (one at a time) but when I want to switch from 1st to 2nd I need to pause it first and switch.

Then play the 2nd track for a while, pause it then go back to the 1st track with the position where I left off.

As far as I can see, the pause method in CocosDension returns void so I have no clue about how to get the position.

Please help

This is pretty easy to do using CDAudioManager.

Store playback position & pause:
```
musicTime = audioManager.backgroundMusic.audioSourcePlayer.currentTime;
[audioManager pauseBackgroundMusic];
```
To resume, you can use either "resumeBackgroundMusic" or "playBackgroundMusic". In your case you would probably use playBackgroundMusic.
```
[audioManager playBackgroundMusic:musicFile loop:shouldMusicLoop];
[audioManager.backgroundMusic.audioSourcePlayer setCurrentTime:musicTime];
```
musicTime should be an NSTimeInterval, which is just a double.

Ah ok, I was using only SimpleAudioEngine but I think I have to upgrade.

I have no idea whether this could be accomplished using SimpleAudioEngine as I've never used it.

This functionality isn't really advertised in CocosDenshion either- it took some poking around to figure out it could be done. Pretty useful though IMO.

@sagachoo - you can use CDAudioManager with SimpleAudioEngine. SimpleAudioEngine is built on top of CDAudioManager and it is safe to access the shared singleton instance of CDAudioManager. The TomTheTurret example shows you how to do this.
