Hello people.
I have a question on retinal display.
I heard that point in both hd and sd graphic are same.
So if I'm using only point for my graphic (not pixel), do I still need to make the hd-version of the image?
Thanks.

Yes.
I'm guessing you're confusing things.
The quick and not fully correct answer is, if you set something to 480 points wide in photoshop, it is still 480 pixels wide, because in photoshop 1 point is 1 pixel. The point you see there has little to do with the retina stuff. On non retina displays 1 point is 1 pixel. on retina displays 1 point is 2 pixels, so to create a 480 point wide image for a retina display you actually need a 960 pixel wide image.

Thanks! I got it figured now. I also figured out that I need to make double images for Illustrator-used images.
Even though I chose point instead of pixel, my app differed between SD and HD graphic.Posted 4 months ago #
