Hi All,
my first iPod/iPhone game is out in the store using Cocos2d called 'Mumbee's Match'.
It's targeted to a younger demographic (kids age 4 - 10) and the game play involves matching two cards out of a field of 8, 16 or 32 depending on difficulty selected. Hopefully the hardcore FPS and RPG players will be gentle with their reviews ;-)
Some Background
Mumbee is a character from the children's entertainment site, cackleberries.com. Cackleberries promotes safe and fun play for kids online and is an online Flash-based world filled with rich history, characters, stories, games and entertainment.
I started Neurofluid Interactive Software Inc in June with the intention of creating fun games for mobile application platforms (focusing on the iPhone/iPod and Android platforms) and entered into a partnership with Cackleberries to take their intellectual properties to these platforms.
With over 40 distinct characters and lots of original games and gaming ideas, Cackleberries games for the iPod/iPhone will be coming out for a long time to come!
App Store Description
Challenge your memory with Cackleberries.com's version of a classic card game!
Select Easy, Medium or Hard and you will be dealt 4, 6 or 16 pairs of cards. Choose any two cards and if they match they will stay face up. If they don't, they'll turn back over.
Try to remember which cards are where by choosing pairs of cards until they are all matched.
When all the cards are face-up, you win!
Fun for any age level! Is your memory up to the challenge of Mumbee's Match?
Future Development
I will be adding some high-score functionality to the game, as well as enhancing some of the graphics and a few other surprises.
Future Cackleberries/Neurofluid Games
Coming in the current quarter and next half of 2010 are 5 new Cackleberries games: a 'whack a mole' type, a unique and fun music game, a 'gems' style of game, a puzzle game and a shape-matching game, all containing different characters from the Cackleberries World.
Pricing and Lite Version
I've decided to price the game at $1.99 due to the quality of the graphics and the branding, as well as in an attempt to differentiate the game from all the 'less desirable' noise that's in the app store.
With 5 more games coming out, one of which will be free, a game pack is in the works that will offer all 6 games for about 1/2 the cost of the individual purchase price.
Purchase of the Full version, as well as downloading the lite version, entitles the user to a free 1 month membership to the Cackleberries.com website (a $5 value). Please contact me for more information (this will be included in the next update of the Lite and Full versions of Mumbee's Match).
A Lite version is currently under review by Apple and only features the easy level.

If you use a promo code, please post which one, and I would appreciate it if you could leave a (hopefully good) review in the app store.
If you feel the game has good value, and you know someone with young children, please recommend Mumbees Match to them, as most young children (and quite a few adults!) have found the game to be a lot of fun to play.
Requirements
The app description says 3.1 or later, but it should run fine on 2.2 devices as well. In the next update, I'll revise that.
Thanks
I'd like to thank Riq and all the other developers that have spent so much time and effort putting Cocos2d out there for everyone else to use. Without it, I know my development cycle for this first game would have taken much much longer! 2 months ago, I'd never even written a single line of Objective-C code, let alone tackled a video game project (well, not since the Commodore64 days at least ;-) )
I'd also like to thank you, the Cocos2d community, for the continued support, the great examples, the enthusiasm and knowledge that's shared so freely with everyone else. You guys embody the spirit of Open Source Software without a doubt!
