BitmapFontAtlas with a PNG? What am I missing?

When using a BitmapFontAtlas are you suposed to use a bmp file or a png? I just tried the Heiro tool and it created a .fnt and a .png. I am confused. I see that within the .fnt it references the .png but should it be referencing a .bmp file?

Nah... that's how it works, it references to .png and it supposed to work ("Bitmap" is just a name).
Wouldn't hurt to take a look at the examples, they work (gurenteed!) and they show you everything (almost) you want to know.

Thanks for the reply.

I did look at the examples but that is what confused me because one of the .fnt files appears to reference a .bmp.
