   My first game was released on the app store today! Here's the description:

   Puzzle Panel is the ultimate iPhone and iPod Touch puzzle experience! Compelling, addictive gameplay and beautiful digitally painted artwork will undoubtedly make Puzzle Panel one of your most played games.

   Puzzle Panel is easy to learn, but difficult to master. Slide blocks into rows and columns of similar colors to create chains and combos.    Wish I could but when we enter the codes it says only valid for customers of the US store? Any ideas how us UK customers can use codes lol

   Sorry lindgrenM - I used one of the codes - I'll post a **** (sorry, that's 4 stars not a swear word) review in iTunes shortly.

   PS You don't want to know how I ended up with the #2 score... ;-) Okay, no there's no bug or anything. It's just that I'm sure you didn't design the game so that all you have to do is whip your finger over each row really, really fast, first in one direction then back. I actually let the game end because my finger(s) were tired.

   Good luck in the store

   Oh suggestions - I'd like to see the high-scores from the main menu and I'd also like to not immediately open my saved game. I'd like to see the more common pop-up asking if I want to continue or start a new game.

   Thanks for the feedback, everyone! I was beginning to feel very unloved.

   cybergreg, I'm aware of that problem but unfortunately I can't think of a viable way around it which won't detract from the game experience for players who aren't swiping at random. I'm considering raising the maximum speed limit so that the game will continue to get harder.

   I think the "random swiping" is a common issue in match 3 games, particularly on touch screen devices. I will say that while it's a viable strategy to survive and do reasonably well, a skilled player who is consciously planning out moves will still score more points faster. That said, I do agree that it's a problem.

   Your other suggestions are great as well - I've had several people suggest them to me already and I will definitely implement them in the next version.

   PS, terrym: unfortunately as the other have stated, a US iTunes account is the only option. It's a big pain in the ass but there's no way around it. I'm Canadian so it's especially frustrating that I can't give my close friends free copies without them having to jump through a bunch of hoops.

   I found the slider for the starting speed is too granular. I would have 10,20,...100 or even just 0,25,50,75,100. Who's going to start at 23 or even know the difference between 23 and 30? Not a big deal.

   It also seems way too easy since you can drag a panel more than one space. I kind of lost interest because it didn't seem challenging enough for me. I know you can raise the speed to make it more challenging but still, it didn't have the appeal as something like bejeweled. You possibly have Easy Mode where it works like it is now and then have Expert Mode where it's only one column/row move at a time.

   I love the background graphics but then the panels seem kind of washed out and lower quality than the other graphics. Some nice sharp 3d-ish panels would fit into the game better in my opinion.

   These are all minor things that I can easily overlook. I figured I would let you know in case you were wondering what improvements you could possibly make. I like the game though. It's easy to pick up and just play when you feel like it.

   Thanks JD. I always appreciate feedback and constructive criticism. I would have to agree with you about the panels. They're alright, but not stellar. I did all the artwork myself and while I'm competent at drawing, I'm not very good at composition and design so I was never able to get something I was REALLY happy with for them. A different style is definitely a possibility for the next update.
