Hi! I am trying to render some text using bitmapfontatlas. But i don't know how to use it...
I mean, i used the tool suggested to create a .fnt file but then i am missing a .png file, that i don't know where to generate it from...
Does it have to have the characters as they were shown in the Hiero app i used to create the .fnt?

Many thanks! I hadn't seen that it also generated a .png.
I have been able to use it, but the fonts it generates are not correct, i mean, many characters overlap a litle, son a "B" might have 1 or 2 pixels of the letter to the left of it.
I tried playing with the padding/offset in the program, but the end result is the same. (The characters are not save with any space in between them)
How would i save the file so, for example the letters are spaced enough so i can add a nice shadow with photoshop?

@pablo: how Hiero generates the .png/.fnt file is specific to Hiero. Probably you should ask them how to do that.
cocos2d only knows how to render what Hiero generates.

Three things about Hiero;
1. Its a brutal memory hog- the only thing I have EVER run on my Mac that slows it down.
2. It has window drawing errors where 90% of the time the UI elements don't appear until I resize the window (for all windows, including the popups)
3. No matter what I specify for the output texture size, it generates a 512x512 image (I've been trying to get a 256x256 texture).
Otherwise it serves a very useful purpose.
I haven't been able to find any other sites about Hiero except through this forum, so excuse the slightly off-topic post. Hopefully whoever is working on Hiero will check this.
