yes of course, as I said in "about" in app, said thanks to Michael for shatter engine, and the engine was given for free use, so everything is ok. if you dont like my app, dont have to download it :) I just give you a FREE promo codes for my small app (it is not game, but I use [game] as other users on this forum...

I think it's ok to grab things (free to use) from others and put in in your game/app.
However I don't feel it right when someone takes thing/source code (free to use) from other and put it in his app as the main function/part. I feel like it is just too lazy.
And I also reply a strange effect about this shatter effect, that if you leave the screen for a while you will see broken pieces wandering around the screen. I believe you just use exactly the shatter effect without knowing its side effect.

alexasha - me too. but still trying to have my killer app just stupid as fart machine to be millionaire! :)
as I read about apps, you never know which one will earn you the most money, so, if you got something, paid 99 USD for a year, just upload it and wait..
btw. my screenshots are very detailed and very good what the app actually does, so, it is not that I just upload main screen or load screen shot and wait to somebody pay and download it. the user can decide by 5 quality screenshots if he pay or not to pay, so it is not a fraud like many many others apps with super names but only one screenshot attached.
letmeknow - I didn't think about it that way, so, it is not right to use free source code as a main idea? how other will you use it? it is for shatter the image, so I made an app to shatter the image :) and gives credit to Michael in "about" scene.. what I didn't have to.. but I did because I like that Michael shared his code with us.

@vogueestylee: I would not argue with you about that, I just want to talk about things happened on earth.
That the people around the world have different ways to define and conceive about morality and conscience. Most people living in a most population country think there is nothing bad if he could cook someone's secret recipe, it not or never be his fault to do that, its that guy's fault, because he lost his secret recipe. (if he does not steal it, other will, why feeling bad about it???)
That's the reason most people in that country never want to share the secret which could earn money and because no one want to share good or new things, the civilization stop growing, or growing slow, too slow... till today, that they still teach themselves and their children if you know/invent anything good, keep it yourselves, don't share, or people will steal it and make it theirs.

@lws - yes of course, the camera input is coming.. but I have the best teacher = great APPLE so.. in next update :D remember iphone 2G? NO MMS!! iphone 3G? no video! 3GS = video NOT HD! they NEVER gives ALL at one time.. makes another versions and make more money.. FLASH? not implemented yet :) so, my apps getting updates or a new versions, just like apple do on us, their customers, it is never "complete" product, just added what is expected by everyone so so long time ago..
but lws, seriously, you see the pictures, don't like it? don't buy it, simple as my app.. I don§t fraud anyone..
@alexasha - it was "copied" from another similar app in which you FIRE the photos, the good description is good for sales..

Yes, it only shatters photos.
The code was posted with the standard Cocos2d license for all to use, so vogueestylee is within their rights to do the app. I didn't expect that the sample app was 90% of a completed app. If only I'd spent another hour I could have had the First photo breaker :(
I hadn't posted my improved shatter effect yet, maybe I should do a "Breaking Pictures Pro" app :)

Most of the posts in this thread is feedback - which is what you probably wanted from a thread like this? The feedback will obviously reflect the quality of the app.
Trying to stay objective and neutral, I understand why everyone's upset - you've basically taken a code-snippet a member of the community posted for free use and published it as an entire application. Sure you give him credit, but that doesn't really matter when the only function your application features is the snippet mentioned above.
I took the code "YFA9M9RNWKW4" - I must honestly say I'm not impressed. If the app was free (which is should be), I'd be more "OK". Charging one buck for it? Insane.

pimms - Charging one buck for it? Insane. = the screenshots are clear what app do, if somebody want it, he will buy it.. I personally don't like throwing birds to the pigs and people just love it! I don't understand why.. I love cut the rope the most..
but to be honest - it was about three days for me to learn how to use UIImagePicker, how to scale image (2048x2048 picture limit for CCSprite) and how to get it all together.. not just one hour as it will be for Michael..
maybe it was a little unfair use it as 90percent of my app from your point of view (as a pro developers), but to be honest - about 5 copies has been sold up today.. no, it is not a killer app for me... :)
