Drop D Studios LLC is proud to announce that our first cocos2d based game, Tap Studio, is available on the app store.

Tap Studio is a FREE rhythm game that lets you create and play along with any song on your iPhone or iPod touch!

I assume you're a fairly small development studio... what was the process of getting rights to the songs like for you?

No, he's saying you can use any song you own and have on your iPod/iPhone. You get to make the game patterns yourself. So he paid nothing.

Now, Im sure he got clearance to use the songs in the video... ;)

You should be able to share the patterns you make with friends. Of course it only works if they have the same song on their device too.

Sorry, that was pretty stupid of me. I actually did read the post, believe it or not, but it's late and I have a bad head cold, so somehow I missed that part. As for the video, I kind of skipped to the second half without watching the first... my bad.

My apologies. Anyway, nice looking game!

The application looks great! -but how hard is it to create a rhythm-esque game? I've always been interested in incorporating some rhythm game features, but I don't know where to begin. I'm pretty new to programming and I'm just piecing things together.
