I haven't tried my game on the device yet. So I wanted to know if is there much difference on the performance between both?

I have a side scrolling game that has a varying FPS of 40 to 60. Would it the be the same in the device?

If it matters my machine has a 2.1Ghz dual core cpu and 4Gb ram.

In my experience the device has a faster frame rate than the simulator. So if you are getting 40-60 FPS in the simulator, I think in the device you'll get at least 50-60 FPS if not better.

It really depends, if it's CPU, simulator will be faster, if it's GPU, device will be faster. Nevertheless, never trust simulator for performance.

Thank you guys, it was just what I would like to hear. So for now I wont worry too much about performance. I'll just move on with the others features of my game.
