   Hello, This question is related to revolute joint. I hang an object with revolute joint. And on touches moved i oscillate that object. But that oscillation is not getting stopped with out touching it. But naturally it should stop right? What i am missing! Please point out me my problem...

   You can simulate friction in revolute joint by enabling motor and setting some small motor torque.

   jointDef.motorSpeed = 0.f;
   jointDef.enableMotor = true;
   jointDef.maxMotorTorque = 5.f;

   You can adjust friction force by varying maxMotorTorque value.

   Hi, Thanks for the reply... I tried your code...

   It's working pretty good. But in my case i've to give maxMotorTorque as 100000.0 ;)

   Hi, and i have one more doubt... for distance joint to reduce oscillation i used dampingRatio and setFrequency.

   It's not affecting the oscillation of the object at all? Any other reason there behind??

   Are you still talking about revolute joints or is this a different question? Revolute joints have no equivalent to the damping/frequency of distance joints.

   Unless you are applying some other torques or angular impulses, the body should eventually stop moving with Vavius' suggestion.
