Here's Jude again after a 2 months "You Are What You Eat" program.
Now her life is much better, after downsizing 2 belt holes... She can sleep well and has more energy to do lab works :) Thanks Gillian!

Looks pretty sweet guys! I love that juicy, colorful feedback when making attack touches. Keep up the good work!
Also, video embed seems to have broken the forum formatting. :-(

It's almost Time for Epic!

The game is almost finished, but we are still talking with publishers...
Should be available before Christmas!

The trailer is great, and the
CCBladeclass is very useful too!Posted 5 months ago # -
Thanks Riq,
We'd like also to thanks you for Cocos2D-iPhone (Ipanema Games only exists because of this wonderful framework!!), Ngo Duc Hiep for the CCBlade class and Kevin MacLeod for the in game musics.
Our main objective now is to choose or not a publisher :)
We are talking with a big publisher right now - under NDA, so no names :) - and our main concern is that we don't have any guarantees on the publishing actions.

I tried TfE, and it certainly is a well made game, but it certainly also has some serious problems.
Claiming that it runs on 3G generation devices, is pushing it. I know there aint many of us left, so maybe updating spec to arm7 would be a good decision. At least on a 3G, I had to completely reboot device to avoid loading crashes, and it still feels jerky when loading, ie music pops, screen freezes, etc etc. The gameplay however, is NOT jerky, so it must be a problem with how resources are handled. Continuing the game, produces 12 memory warnings. The graphics and sound is good, very good actually, but is somewhat let down by the clunky loading ( at some point there - apart from music suddenly starting and stopping - is a completely white screen ), and the clunky interface. It is not the the interface doesn't work, it just isnt very intuitive either. Before I comment more on that, a quick word about gameplay.
It isn't bad, but it isn't good either. If I tap, dude one toasts them with laser beam, if I swipe, dude two zaps them with wizardry, or whatever it is. But I cant combine them. Swiping and tapping simultaneously, only produces wizardry, and as the laser guy really don't seem to hit them significantly harder than the wizardry, it all ends up with mindless swiping. That is not good. But that is by far not the worst.
The worst is the in game management. An example would be the base HP. Before each round, you have to repair your base. This includes tapping 12 times ( Twelve ) on a button, spending XP ( okay, only 10 times if you dont buy the HP upgrade, but I did ). If you forget to do this, you lose the level. If you think you can do it from inside the level, you are wrong. You get a message saying "you cant repair until the end of the day". WTF?
And it gets even worse. If you for some reason stops a level before time ( because mum called, or you had to go to the can ), your repair resets, and if you are lucky enough not to forget ( and thus loose the next level pr default ), you win an extra 12 taps on that button.
It simply is stupid beyond belief. The rest of the game resource management, seems focused on forcing me to do IAP. Honestly guys. You priced this thing at tier 3, and you expect me to pay even more just to get simple things to work? No way!
After level 4 ( called days ), I had collected enough gold to but 1 ( ONE ) minor upgrade. I was not presented with new weapons, or options in those 4 levels, but there certainly is enough to spend coins on, if you have them that is, and unless you do IAP, you dont.Sorry guys. I have been following the TfE thread, enjoying screenshots etc, and blew a tier 3 just to check it out, because you apparently sit on the promo codes.
In my opinion, the game needs fixing, and at this stage doesn't live up to the hype. I am pretty disappointed.Edit:
To be fair, there are some 100G upgrades to buy. Next level is 250G. In 15-20 minutes of play, I gathered 360G, and I have no clue on how to improve that. Anything that looks just the least fancy, costs 800G+, and I have to remind you, that I already payed tier 3 on the game.Posted 5 months ago # -
