I need someone well versed with building Audio Units to code a project for me. I think this is an easy project if you actually understand Audio Units (I thought I did, but apparently not).
Here's what I need:
* 2 inputs, controllable by variables (if playback, then mute mic, and vice versa)
1) playback from a file saved in the documents directory
2) streaming from the mic
* Connected to a mixer
* Real-time graphing of the waveform (Apple's aurioTouch oscilloscope is exactly what I need)
* Ability to record input to a dynamically named file (only from mic. Playback will stop recording)
* Output to speakers during playback only
* Optionally, the ability to pause the playback (without re-enabling the mic)
* Operational in portrait in a cocos2D layer (with support for retina & non-retina iPhone displays only).
I would like higher quality mono audio in a format that would be compatible with Mac & PC, preferably compressed, but compatibility is the #1 goal. (File sharing through iTunes & emailing files will be options for the user)
I've been struggling for about 3 weeks trying different approaches, but every time I get something working, another piece breaks. I've tapped every resource I can find (including the Rough Cuts of the unreleased Core Audio book), but I can't seem to get the pieces to fit together. I've got the theory figured out, but the actual wiring of the units isn't clicking. I can provide a sample of what I've been working with, but frankly, I think it's a mess not worth looking through.
I'm extremely behind on this project, so a fast turnaround (a day or two, if possible) is a requirement.
Price is negotiable.
PM me or email me at paul@trollcavegames.com if you are interested, with your estimated time & what you feel is a fair price for the project.
