I created Slide It using cocos2d a few months back. I decided it would be worth creating a free version, which got a lot of activity. So, I decided to make a free version that is ad supported. The free version provides all the functionality of the full version. (Sorry, it requires OS 3.0.)

I really got a LOT of help from the cocos2d community writing this game. It was amazing to me how much people shared their knowledge and how many code examples were available. If I can answer any questions for others starting out, let me know--I would love to give something back to the community.

It looks nice and clean. I would put a nice dark blue background behind it, and maybe use one of the Cocos2D effects, like "Liquid" or something of that nature and create a moving (but non intrusive) background, to give it a bit more character. I'm also curious about adds, is it pretty easy to integrate adds in your app?

I like you ideas to improve the interface...I agree that it is a little bland. Sounds like a good excuse for an update. =)

Ads are EXTREMELY easy. I used AdWhirl (which was just bought but AdMob). I had ads integrated into my app in a few hours, including setup with AdWhirl. I would highly recommend. Would you be interested in sample code?

Definitely, I am not sure how well my app does once it's approved, and I have an idea for a full featured free spin-off game, and would be interesting to integrate the adds in that. As far as add revenue generated, does it justify the effort? Your game seems like the kind of game that would reach a wide audience and seems like it's something you'd re-play many times, so it seems like a good idea in your case.

Does it justify the work? Well, I am not sure yet. I do seem to be getting more and more impressions every day. Hopefully I will have a good feel for the value soon.
