So my game "The Fish Dies in the End" has been released today! This is an undersea, pick up and play game featuring a cute little fish trying to survive as long as possible against all odds. The game has Retina support and is compatible with Game Center (Leaderboards and Achievements).

Cocos2d has been fantastic for me, so thanks a lot to riq and this awesome community! I would love to hear the feedback from you guys! Please let me know if you have any comments, suggestions or criticisms.

Nice, I watched one of the reviews out already. I like that you did sharks in waves rather than mixing them in. It's a simple idea but it adds uniqueness to your endless.

Also, I've got to ask.. you have 175 Followers on Facebook already? Wow and how? :D I've practically got to beg even my own friends to Fan Pixel Fighters

ok, just bought it.

First of all, I really like one touch games like this one. Currently I'm on the 3rd place on the leaderboards. Will try harder though ;)

In general I like the game play, it's just smooth enough.

Here my comments about possible enhancements:
-playing own music during the play, cannot be done currently.
-Gamecenter icon in the bubble should probably better fit as additional menu item. I actually needed a few seconds to found it ;)
-when selecting between game mode ( easy, medium and hard ), there is no enough visual indications which you have selected. Also, I would just remove OK button, not needed I think.
-Since I'm right handed, I'm actually having troubles to see when something is coming at the bottom.
Maybe you could add an option for user to select which direction prefer to play? e.g. --> || <--

Otherwise, I think it is a nice casual game.
Left a nice review in Slovenian store.

p.s. STAP got cocos2d competition, but not just there yet ;)
p.p.s. BUT, it is less frustrating for sure, you can even get additional lives :) BIG+ vs. STAP ;)

And today The Fish Dies in the End was featured on the App Store under the Action and Arcade categories! This is obviously not nearly as cool as a front page feature but I'm really happy anyway. Here's hoping that this will help sales :).

If more of you guys try the game please let me know what you think! Always looking for feedback.

I've been interviewed by Joystiq regarding The Fish Dies in the End. Really happy with it! Please take a look. In other news, I'm already at work on the first update for the game that should feature many suggestions I received from players since the release of the game. If you have anything you'd like to see changed or added to the game, let me know.

hey guys,

I'm digging the forums and i found this and I was surprised, I'm also currently making an iphone game about FISH..I titled it Angel Fish, I started making about a month ago.. kinda look similar to this one but it's a little complicated and of course it's original too... hope to finish my game soon.. I'm alone doing the stuff and it's my first app. I can't believe someone else have the same idea of what i'm developing..

@vicious: You mean the idea similar OR the art is exactly the same ?

- If the art is exactly the same, just prove yours are original. Things will be solved easily.

- If the ideas are the same then neither of you guys can prove his/her idea is original.

If you play them on PC, you will see there are a lot games similar to this/yours.

Do you know Puff Puff, it was released (half a year - not this) nearly a year ago. I already played similar things one year back.

@vicious: If you start developing game from 2011, don't ever cry like someone steal your idea.

Just feeling lucky because no-one tell you are stealing his/her idea.

Uhmm, it's different i guess?, you can navigate all direction but you're stuck in a bounding box.. It's just the concept of FISH on a 2d plane is the same.. you see it's a fish trapped in an aquarium.. i think it'll take another month or two before I finish this game..
I always check iTunes to see whether my ideas are already taken.. ^_^
