Funny, how I only get into the sandbox now. Though, that might be due to the iOS beta...

You're lucky to be stuck in sandbox mode... I'M STILL STUCK IN LIVE MODE AND I'M A DEVELOPER :(

Same problem there. Have tried almost everything. Sandbox mode is not available anymore. It asks me to joint GameCenter and if I do it with sandbox account it says that that account is not registered in GC or something..

Man, this is all just too bad. One should think that it was an easy problem to fix, but there is just no simple way to tell the system: DO THIS.... NOT THAT! How annoying. And it really eats into production time.

This is what I found if your app is a development app.
To get INTO sandbox mode:
1. Sign out of GC from GC app.
2. Open your app. It should prompt to sign in or create account. Create new account with fake email address you never used.
3. Close your app and check GC. It should show sandbox mode.To get OUT of sandbox mode:
1. Make sure your app is closed. Open GC app and sign out.
2. Reboot your device (maybe overkill but it works).
3. Open GC app. Sign in with real LIVE account. It should not show Sandbox anywhere.Posted 10 months ago # -
I'm now in the base. Funny, it took less than a day to get OpenFeint working with leaderboards and achievements and now it's taken a day just to set up a few leaderboards and achievements in Game Center and it won't even log me in. I'm this close to just dropping Game Center support altogether. -__-

Well, I'm adding OpenFeint to my Game Center game. Game Center is missing too many features that users like - chat, integrated friend invites, offline storage. Plus it works with pre iOS 4 devices. If you can do both, I suggest you go that route.

This question don't have to be here, but I don't want to open a new Thread...
I am doing game center integration for achievements, and I'd like to ask... Using a sandbox account will ALWAYS report again and again the achievements, even if they are already completed?

jd's instruction doesn't work on the 4th gen, non-jailbroken, 4.2.1 iPod touch that's in my hands right now. Stuck in live mode...
This is weird.

Dealing with problems too. The last couple of days the sandbox has been offline, a lot, which of course doesn't help.
Note: If your app is ALREADY in the store you may have to (probably should) delete your app from your device. I have had to delete my app from my device (multiple times) in order for it to switch back to the sandbox.
It's so much fun especially when I'm working on my Turn Based stuff... sandbox offline, can't login, wants to log into the live GC... :-/

I'm seeing a lot of weird stuff on Game Center in the last days (11 -14 Sept 2011)
- Trying to login in-game with a live account into the Sandbox for my game and into other, not mine LIVE games: "Could not connect to Game Center" (native alert)
- Trying to login in the Game Center app: (same as before)
- Trying to create a new account: constantly getting the message about not being able to contact the Game Center because servers are unavailable (native alert)I'm also facing issues with IAP and I can only thing they must be related as both GC and IAP were working a few days ago. Where is Steve when you need him? :)
Anybody else seen any of this? ideas?

I've been getting a lot of game center errors the last few days also. Luckily for me I wrote that code when Game Center was working a couple of weeks ago. I've only got the unavailable error, but I've not tried creating accounts or anything but authenticating. When I was using it, it was in a reliable period, I'm sure they'll sort it out again soon (hopefully!).

I tell a lie, signed me in first time just then.

True, just tried again (4 hours after my previous post, for the record) and managed to log in with all devices/iOS. Let's see for how long...
I guess that also confirms that Apple monitors this forum :)
