Clarification on the purpose of ranking

Hi all,
This is probably a stupid question, and I'm sorry if it has been answered before; I've searched the forum and Google and have not been able to find anything.

I'm not sure I'm entirely clear on what ranking in CocosLive actually does. As I understand it, it allows a CocosLive client to determine the relative position of a score in the scoreboard, but also limits each device to submitting only one score. Is this correct? Does ranking have any other advantages/disadvantages?

Also, riq, I may need you to enable ranking for my game but I'll hold off on that until I'm sure I understand it.

Rankings only works with "updateScore" (think of profiles), and it support "send Score".

In Rankings you can query 50 scores per query.

Thanks. Could you enable ranking for "Puzzle Panel"?

The max score is 16,777,215 (the maximum for an unsigned int on the iPhone.) If that's too high, just use the highest value you can. Realistically it's very unlikely anyone will break 1,000,000 in my game.

Min score is 0.
