Hi,
we published our first game, made with cocos2d, following the press release with all the informations, screenshots and video:
on 31th of March was published on the iTunes App Store our new video game “[b]Scrubby Doh![/b]”, a mixture between a runner and a shoot'em up, a fantastic 2D game with wonderful graphic effects and extremely addictive gameplay!
This is the first game of the developer team EnergyiPhoneDev (published by [b]Energy Time s.r.l.[/b]) starring Scrubby Doh, a funny and cute bee-like robot that run away from his evil creators and in a fury of rage and cuteness he destroy all the enemies robots that are so fool to cross his way.
It uses 3D graphic renderings for a 2D gameplay and beautiful particle systems for coloured explosions and smoke using the great Cocos2d framework for iOS development. In this way the game has a very particular and unique appeal that give to the user the good sensation of playing a simple and addictive funny game without sacrificing a colorful great looking graphic.
The player try to run as far as possible, and he can do this in various way: recharging on the flowers when he's running out of energy, destroying enemies with weapons and bonus, or play of skill and cunning to avoid the shots of enemies and sparingly using weapons.
The music and sounds were made trying to give a further sensation of funny game to meet all the needs of the players, from kids to elders, from pro players to casual ones. Beside this, it gives the player the possibility of choose a song from the iPod Music Library to play during the game.
Moreover the game uses 2 kind of systems for social gaming: OpenFeint (with all its feature of messaging between users, facebook and twitter sharing, etc) and the Apple Game Center. It has a global leaderboard, and many and various achievements to unlock for earning points and make the game even more challenging.
