Hello everyone,

Our team released a few weeks ago the game Tap Masters which lately got a major update and today a Lite version. Tap Masters is a game in which the goal is to tap the appearing points as fast as possible. Of course it is not only about speed but also about reaction time and precision.

After watching you demo video, I have absolutely no idea what the game is about.

But the explosions are nice.

hmmm maybe the trailer should more explain what the game is about. But on the other side everything is explained in the description.

Do you all use the ParticleDesigner(71 squared) for your effects? Can't I achieve the same with the particleSystem available in Cocos2D? I haven't tried that since I dint need a particle effect yet.

Birkemose , your explosion effects were also quite attractive. (I have watched you trailer several times :D) But I guess that fire Ring must be from particle designer, am I right?.

I only used particle designer for ideas, because at that point I had already written my own initialization of a particle system, with defaults and bells and whistles ...

But yes, I was inspired by the ring in particle designer, and many other things. An explosions consists of 3 particle systems
The blast ring, that has 300 particles in it
The actual explosion, having 25 particles in it
The debris, having 200 particles in it ( only large objects )

I scale this down, according to how many explosions is currently ongoing, and I must humbly admit, that when 10-15 objects are exploding all over the place, it looks kinda cool, especially in black and white :)
However, this is all due to the particle system in cocos. I once looked at the code, trying to understand how it could keep track and render all these particles, but gave up. It is amazing that it works as well as it does.

Tap Masters is free for 24 hours. Get it as long as you can :)
