   Hi,

   I have sent my game to apple and it went to ready for sale.

   I have put Availability date to December 24. It is also in Rights and Pricing link staying this date.

   Now on itunes says Released date: December 19, which is today.

   Can I keep current date (availability date) to December 24 or I should change it to December 19.

   This question I am asking because I am not sure if I will drop in new games list if I do not change it to December 19.
   So my app was to be released on December 24, but now I am not sure when it will be released, as in Released date says December 19.

   Note: I will post some promo codes here.

   If the date is set after December 23rd, when iTunesConnect shuts down, your app won't be available until the 28th when iTunesConnect starts up again.
   I'd say place the date to today or tomorrow, but certainly before Dec 23rd.

   Get some promo codes out to people who'll put a review up on iTunes, they should be able to access it now (if it is approved). It's better to try through PM first so you can avoid having them trawled. If there's not much interest this way then try posting up your promo codes.

   Regardless of the date your app is released, with it being this close to Christmas it is likely to go up in a batch of other apps so the chances of being visible are fairly small, get some images/details onto the forum for a start and then get out wherever you can get them.

   Ideally your marketing should have started long before the game was released, we fell for this one ourselves when we released.

   Didn't you get the email about iTunes Connect shutting down on the 23rd? Any apps scheduled to be released between 23rd and 29th will appear on the 29th.

   as my game also went ready for sale today, does it mean it would be in new or worthy section for this week end with the shutdown on 23?

   ps:i will announce my freaking awsome game coming from nowhere in othertread :).

   @antoine anim: Unfortunately, New and Noteworthy isn't guaranteed for anybody. If you're lucky enough to get into New and Noteworthy, it can take up to a month, depending on the territory.

   @JohnM: I would change the date! I made the mistake of setting a release date to a week after one of my games was approved so that I could give out promo codes, and it never appeared in the new releases at all. App store exposure is the best marketing you can do I think, but abitofcode is right. With the amount coming out at the moment, you won't get much visibility anyway, so post those promo codes as soon as you can.
