[Box2D] How to make a plunger (think pinball launcher)

Hi,

Any ideas on how best to implement a kind of spring loaded plunger, a bit like a plunger to launch a pinball.

Pull it back, and let it go! I am guessing a Prismatic joint to restrict the movement in a plane, but not sure how to implement a pseudo spring.

In the source code for chapter 13 of "Learn iPhone and iPad Cocos2D Game Development" from Apress there's an example of a Box2D pinball system with a plunger made with a prismatic joint. You can download the source code from the Apress.com website.

Thanks @fpc, its a good start. I just need the force to be relative to the distance and allow the plunger to be pulled back manually by the user.
