Thanks for the feedback patrickC. We were kind of going for a playful kiddish feel to the game, so that might be why the graphics look the way they do.

Picnic Pests doesn't have any in app purchases. Every time you kill an ant you get gold, and you can use that gold to purchase upgrades. Sorry I didn't make that clear in the video.

I recorded the video with Snapz Pro X for the actual video recording part, and I used Simfinger to make the little circle follow me around. I found out about these programs from a post on the "Diner of the Dead" form. I made the names links if you wanted to check the sites out.

The tearing off of the food is a good idea and I like the concept behind the game.

If one wanted to be critical, the graphics in the game, especially in the menus, could definitely do with some work from a designer or something, they "feel" like they were a last minute thing done by a programmer :)
Good graphics can make a difference in how the game is perceived I think...

Defend your picnic sandwich from hungry ants by throwing rocks, grenades, bombs, and more. Can you make it through the 40 fun, fast paced levels of Picnic Pests? After each level you will be given the option to purchase upgrades with the gold you earned by defending your sandwich from waves of black ants, red ants, and other special ants including, the dreaded gold ant! Upgrades available to you range from extra health to a falling rock shower, how will you choose to defend your sandwich?

-40 Levels
-Many upgrades available such as new weapons, fly swatter, health, consumable bombs, firing guide, and more
