Well it's been three months and I finally got to update my little AIR app. It now supports versions 0.8.2 and 0.99.0 RC in the same download. I also added auto-update functionality so you won't have to go back and re-download for each new version of Cocos2d.

Hey everyone I've updated the offline documentation AIR app to include documentation for 0.8.2 - there's also 0.8.1 still up. Someday I will learn more Flex and figure out the auto-update deal. Until then...

Thanks chrisco, its in that list. Perhaps the witch plug-in has disabled it in some other way. Its time for a clean install soon, probably with 10.6, once I've got a release ready.

So does that shortcut flick between open windows? The witch app has a few nice additions, like presenting a graphic overlay when you activate it (e.g. alt-tab), listing all the open apps (even if their hidden/minimised if you want). But the cmd-` shortcut sounds like a good fallback on machines I don't have control over. Cheers ; )

Hmm - that's odd. I'm using a MacBook Pro as well, and although I'm running 10.6 now, it worked as well in 10.5. It might be System Preference issue:

In your System Preferences, go to the Keyboard & Mouse pane, then the Keyboard Shortcuts tab. If you scroll through the list, you'll find the Keyboard Navigation items - in that list is "Move focus to next window in active application". By default, this is set to cmd-`. Make sure you have it checked and that the key command hasn't been changed.

If that doesn't work, I'm really not sure what the problem is...

Doesn't cmd-` (command backtick) do the same thing without a plugin? Though I get annoyed with all the window's that end up opening in Xcode - they can be a pain to flick through...

@tehsuck - no probs ; ) It definitely helped me transition to OSX, I'm a lot slower if I have to use a Mac without it installed. Just takes a little configuring to get it functioning similar to the Windows way, but with a few extra improvements.

@tehsuck, nice idea. Thanks.

Incase you haven't seen it before theres a plug-in for Mac called 'witch' (http://www.manytricks.com/witch/) which gives you an alt-tab feature like MS Windows so you can quickly flick between open app windows, not just open apps like cmd-tab. Means you can easily flick between xcode and the documentation window, and any other open doc....

Riq - yeah I've seen that Xcode stuff but honestly I prefer to have a seperate non xCode window open that I can command-tab to at any time.

Anyhow, I've updated the AIR app it now resizes properly, and I also added a little nav bar on the top with back/forward buttons. I do believe keyboard shortcuts would work also (CTRL+-> / CTRL+<-)

Hopefully the next version will allow for auto-updating etc.

@tehsuck, thanks for creating this. I like having offline resources bc I dont always have online access. I like the app - I wish I could make the window bigger. When I stretch the window out - the main view stays the same size. Although if I shrink the window the view handles that well, it seems to be maxed out at a small size. Thanks!

If I use the Documentation link at the top of the Cocos2d homepage, and then click "API reference" it brings me to the 0.7.3 documentation. Maybe it is meant to be that way but I just figured it should be 0.8 since that is the latest stable and it is also the release mentioned on the Documentation page.
