It can fluctuate quite a bit, I wrote my own app ranking charts so I could sample it hourly.
Quite interesting watching intraday trends.

That was strange. Was in the TOP 25 free for puzzle and family for about 10 mins then disappeared altogether. Does the App Store really change the rankings that quickly?

It has now broken into the TOP 25 FREE puzzle and family categories. Thank you for your help! Now I need to succeed in getting some websites to review UniTris so I can get some downloads after the sale ends. :)

n8tr, I can confirm. I've had both types of features, both on iTunes and App store (iphone). The difference is night and day. Once on the hot new games (device) sales went up exponentially.

Yeah visibility on the iPhone itself is everything. I wish a great product was good enough, but it just isn't. I have downloaded quite a few games that are featured and am amazed how many provide 30 seconds of entertainment at best.

UniTris Lite is in the new and noteworthy family section in iTunes and was recently in the new and noteworthy puzzle section as well in iTunes. Doesn't seem to be impacting sales however. I think showing up somewhere in the iPhone App Store app is the key.

Lite version is out if you want to try it out without buying.

Hello awesome cocos2d forum!

First off, many thanks to @riq and all the cocos2d contributors! Without you, so many of us would never be able to complete a game before the end of time.

I am excited to announce that **UniTris** has been approved and is on the App Store. It is my second cocos2d game and I think it is a real winner. My family and friends are addicted to it already! I sought to create a game as fun and addicting as Tetris, but designed to work well with a touch screen. I think UniTris is it!
