			<description><p>Hi All,</p>
<p>I'd like to introduce you all to my latest cocos2d based game now on the App Store, &#60;stong&#62;The B.E.A.T.   The B.E.A.T. differs from other games in the genre because it allows you to play a rhythm game to the music in your own library rather than pre-packaged song.</p>
<p>From a developers stand point, coordinating real time DSP into an iphone app was a fun and interesting challenge but one that allows for a great variety of game play.  cocos2d made creating the game on top of that technology one of the easier parts of The B.E.A.T.'s development!</p>

			<description><p>I'm trying to implement the Game Center Achievements in my first game. The orientation of my game is landscape left only.</p>

			<description><p>Okay so this is my second iPhone game using the cocos2d engine. It's been a lot of fun to take the idea from moving dots to animated creatures of gooey death. :)</p>
<p>Anyway, the concept is simple. Stay alive like an avoidance game and kill like a hack and slash. Tilt controls allow you to move the character around. The controls are heavily inspired by Tilt to Live. </p>
<p>The campaign mode takes you through progressively more difficult goo enemies. Each enemy has a different ability to harm or inhibit the character. For example, one sticks to the character and slows movement speed. One explodes destroying all in it's blast radius. One drops seeds that propel at the character like bullets.</p>
<p>Campaign levels are broke down into 4 different gameplay styles. </p>
<p>Vanquish - X number of goes are in the area. You must take them out to advance.<br />
Survival - It's time based... stay alive to survive the goos oncoming threat<br />
Trainer - There's a special goo in the area that may be able to assist you. Get close to it, tame it, and gain it's trust.... while staying alive.<br />
Collector - Goo genetic material is spread across the area... collect it and stay alive.</p>
<p>There are over 10 mini games each varies somehow from the original 4 gameplay styles. </p>
<p>For example. 10 Swings gives you 10 swings of your sword to gain the highest score possible. You must wait for the perfect moment to make a best swings and gain the highest multipliers and score.</p>
<p>As you complete levels you can take your score points and use them to purchase deployable support and weapons to help you complete levels. This includes your own Goo friend, a Drone, goo repellant, and more.</p>
<p>The goal is to send the game into the app store early next week.  So I hope to be posting more about it soon :D</p>

			<description><p>My game is running without problem on devices with ios 4.3 and above. When i first launched the game it only ran on ios 4.3 and above.<br />
I added the armv6 architecture manually by typing it out, to make the game run on ios below 4.3. The game is launching on devices with ios lower than 4.3 but it crashes when you select play. </p>

<p>Give it a spin if you have kids or for yourself. </p>
<p>I ported my UIKit memory games using a C++ game model to Cocos2d V1.1 Beta.<br />
Looks like it's way more stable to use Cocos2d regarding memory leaks and overall faster iteration. Great framework!</p>

<p>This friday I’m going to release an interactive book for iPad called “Books for Kids: At the beach”, developed with cocos2d. This book is focused on kids who are learning to read. Its mainly features are the following:</p>

- Animated characters (animals like: gulls, crabs, pelicans and so on)<br />
- Every paragraph is rhyming<br />
- The book includes a set of fun activities that support the learning process<br />

			<description><p>Hi all, I just want to preface this with me stating that I'm very very new to programming as well as cocos2d and box2d.  I've spend a few weeks doing nothing but research in regards to learning objective-c as well as cocos2d and I have downloaded and read tons of tutorials on building simple games just to get myself used to everything.  I've been making some pretty good headway with my game (surprisingly to me) and I've run into a snag the past couple of days regarding the gravity in my game.  As stated, I'm working on a very basic game which has a player character and blocks.  Basically, a 50 pixel wide block will randomly spawn from somewhere off screen and move from the bottom of the screen to the top and off screen.  This goes on forever with a new block randomly spawning every second.  That's all fine and good.  Now I'm working on the physics of the game because I need some collision so that my character can stand on the blocks and then fall off onto the next platform.  When I implement box2d to create bodies for my characters, my player works just fine and has defined properties and moves around no problem at all.  When I try to define a body for my blocks, it causes all sorts of problems with the gravity in the game.  Essentially, the blocks stop randomly spawning only to spawn from one spot right on top of each other and then the game crashes.  When I remove any definitions to the blocks, everything goes back to normal, no problem.  This leads me to believe that the gravity in the world which pulls the player down is affecting the blocks.  My question is, how would I go about creating a gravity that's specific only to the randomly spawning blocks so they can continue moving upwards on their own without affecting the players gravity pulling the player down?  Again, I'm very new to this whole process and I've spend 2 days searching for help online through these forums as well as other websites.  If this would be easier to do in Chipmunk, I'm game, but again I was having difficulty getting that to work as well.  Thanks for any help/input that any of you may have.

<p>             Am developing a Game using Cocos2D, for that i need Collision Detection of Two Sprites. in my game some sprites falling down from top to bottom  with different    speeds and one Character sprite moving left to right at bottom. i set all sprites Anchor point to (0,0) .my code detecting collisions of sprites which are having low speed, but not with high speed. And also it's not detecting when both overlap side by side. </p>

			<description><p>I just released a game on the App Store. It's the second game I've made with Cocos2D, and my first paid app. It's a fairly simple "endless running" game, where you try to boost your score by collecting spinning, sparkling objects and try to avoid being hit by fireworks, meteorites, and and the occasional fiery dragon breath. :)</p>
<p>The game runs on both the iPad and iPhone, but requires iOS 5 (or newer).</p>
<p>(All the art was done in ArtStudio for iPad and Pixelmator on Mac OS X. For music, I just mixed together some Apple Loops in GarageBand.)</p>

			<description><p>We're in the final stages of Beta testing for Sketchshare <a href="http://www.cocos2d-iphone.org/forum/topic/28212" rel="nofollow">http://www.cocos2d-iphone.org/forum/topic/28212</a> and I'm trying to establish if there is an issue with iOS 4.3.3 sending larger lumps of data. (There's a preview video on the other thread that may help the next bit make sense).</p>
<p>We have one user with an iPad running iOS 4.3.3 and on this device the app seems to crash when receiving larger packets of data, I'm not sure if this is the exact cause but the app sends the drawing information and the image placement data comfortably. It is when the image data is packaged up and sent over that the app crashes on the receiving iPad. The app seems to be pretty stable on 5.0.1 but we are still waiting to hear back from a number of testers.</p>
<p>Has anyone else experienced a similar issue, I'm tempted to put this out as a 5.0.1 and greater app and forget 4.3.3, with the app relying so heavily on Game Centre It'd be great to know if anyone has had a similar experience :S
